I had to investigate and look for a proper place to plant a tree in my home. A proper place where the planted tree could get proper nourishment and could grow happily. The step thing I did was have a complete understanding of the science of planting a tree. I came up with a trick which was to dig a wide hole to obtain best growth of the tree. Planting trees not only bring joy but clean air which it is planted in. One thing which is the most important before planting a tree was to investigate the terrain of the land, that is to consider factors such as slope, neighbors, drainage and erosion. According to these considered factors I had to decide the type of plant to be planted. A type of tree that could adjust in the environment and does not disturb other plants nearby.

Answer:

Plants require a specific pH range for their healthy growth.

To select a good place for planting a tree in my school / home. I conduct soil test in the following manner :-

• put about 2g of soil in the test tube and add 5ml of water to it.

• shake the contents of the test tube.

• Filter the contents and collect the filtrate in a test tube.

• Check the pH value with universal indicator paper.

• If the pH of soil is near to 7, the plants will grow very well.
