How do you simplify the difference (4w2−4w−8)−(2w2+3w−6)?

(4w2−4w−8)−(2w2+3w−6)

= 4w²-4w-8-2w²-3w+6

= 4w²-2w²-4w-3w-8+6

=(4-2)w²-(4+3)w-2

=2w²-7w-2

Therefore,

(4w²−4w−8)−(2w²+3w−6)

=2w²-7w-2
