Answer:

0x - 8y =  - 16 \\  \\  - 8y =  - 16 \\  \\ y =  \frac{16}{8}  \\  \\ \bf y = 2

Putting the value of y in (ii)

 - 8x + 2y = 36 \\  \\  - 8x + 2 \times 2 = 36 \\  \\  - 8x = 36 - 4 \\  \\  - 8x = 32 \\  \\ x =  \frac{ -  32}{8}  \\  \\ \bf x =  - 4

Thanks....!!

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

0x - 8y = -16

-8y = -16

Y = -16/-8 = 2

-8x + 2y = 36

Putting value of y

-8x + 2(2) = 36

-8x + 4 = 36

-8x = 36-4

-8x = 32

X = 32/-8 = -4

Hope it helps uh
