How do you solve (2x−1)2+|2x−1|−12=0?

(2x-1)2 + | 2 x-1 | = 12
here mode is taken of the second term so it is taken to be +ve
Now simplifying the terms we get
4x - 2 + 2x - 1 = 12
6x - 3 = 12
6x = 15
x = 15÷6
x = 5/2
x = 2.5
