2x + 6y = 2 \:  \:  \: x + 5y = 3 \\ 2x = 2 - 6y \\ x = (2 - 6y) \div 2 \\ (2 - 6y) \div 2 + 5y = 3 \\ (2 - 6y) + 10y = 3 \\ 2 + 4y = 3 \\ 4y = 3 - 2 \\ 4y = 1 \\ y =  \frac{1}{4}
