-2x-9y=-25

=> 2x+9y= 25 ------------------(1)

-4x-9y=-23

=> 4x+9y=23 -------------------(2)

(1) ×2 => 4x + 18y = 50 ----------------(3)

(2)-(3)=> -27y = 27

=> y =-1

putting the value of y= -1 in eq. no.(1)

2x + 9× (-1) = 25

=> 2x -9 = 25

=> 2x = 34

=> x = 17

therefore,

required x= 17

y=-1
