How do you solve 4(8−p)−(7−p)=22?

4(8−p)−(7−p)=22

32 - 4p - 7 + p = 22

25 - 3p = 22

-3p = 22 - 25

-3p = -3

p = 1

32 - 4p - 7 + p = 22

32 - 7 - 4p + p = 22

25 - 3p = 22

- 3p = 22 - 25
