How do you solve 5(√x)−x=6?

 \sqrt{x} = t

given equation becomes

5t -  {t}^{2}  = 6

 {t}^{2}  - 5t + 6 = 0

(t-2)(t-3)=0

t=2or t= 3

 \sqrt{x}  = 2 \: or \: 3

x=4 or 9
