-5x-3y=5 ------------eq. 1

5x-5y=-5 ------------eq. 2

____________________

Adding eq. 1 and eq. 2 we get:-

-5x-3y+(5x-5y)=5+(-5)

-5x-3y+5x-5y=5-5

*-5x cancels with 5x and 5 cancels with -5,now:-

-3y-5y=0

-8y=0

===>⭐y=0⭐

____________________

Putting value of y in eq. 1 we get:-

-5x-3y=5

-5x-3*0=5

-5x-0=5

x=5÷(-5)

==>⭐x = –1⭐
