How do you solve 8u+23=−3(u−4)?

so you simply mean that IF u-4 then what is:

8u+23=-3

8 multiply by 4=32+23=55

then it says something like:-3 (do u mean the ans subtract by -3 then):

55-3=52

hope it helps!! i tried at least.
