How do you solve d2=50−23d?

d2=50-23d

=> 2d=50-23d

=> 2d+23d=50

=> 25d=50

=> d= 50/25

=> d= 2

Hence, d=2

first simply bring all the terms with variables on the same side.

i.e.

2d + 23d = 50

notice that the sign of term 23d changed from -ve to +ve as it was shifted from right to left (way of saying)

the proceed according to operations

25d =50d

now divide both sides with 25

we get

d = 2
