How do you solve the following system?: 3x+11y=−4,−9x+5y=2

3x + 11y = -4

MULTIPLY BOTH SIDE'S BY 3 WE HAVE

9x + 33y = -12 .... Equation ( i )

-9x + 5y = 2 .... Equation ( ii )

Now, Add both the equations we get

38y = -10

y = -5/19

And

-9x = 2 + 25/19

=>

-9x = 63/19

x = -63/171
