How do you solve the following system?: x+2y=−2,x–3y=−12

x+2y=-2 --------(1)
x-3y=-12---------(2)

subtracting eq^n no. 1 from 2
-5y=-10
y=10/5
y=2

put y=2 in eq^n 1
x+2×2=-2
x+4=-2
x=-2-4
x=-6

(x,y)= (-6,2)
