=> x + 4y = 19 -----(1)
=> 2x + y = -4 ----(2)
=> x = 19 -4y ___from eq ___(i)
putting value of x into equation (2) we get
=> 2(19 -4y) +y = -4
=> 38 -8y +y = -4
=> 7y = 42
=> y=6
=> X= -5
=> x + 4y = 19 -----(1)
=> 2x + y = -4 ----(2)
=> x = 19 -4y ___from eq ___(i)

X + 4y = 19.....(1)
y = -2x - 4
2x + y = -4....(2)
on multiplying with 2 in equation (1),
2x + 8y = 38....(3)
equation (2)- equation (3)
2x + y - (2x + 8y) = -4 -38
-7y = -42
y = 6
then X = 19 -4 × 6= 19 - 24 = -5
X= -5, y= 6
