How do you solve y=2x and y=12-x?

2X = 12 - X

2X + X = 12

3X = 12

X = 12 ÷ 3

X = 4

put X = 4 In 2 equation

Y = 2 × 4

Y = 8

hence , X = 4 and Y = 8
