There are people who admire Gandhi, others who disagree with him but still respect him in some ways, and there are also those who literally hate him (well, whatever). But I believe everyone would generally agree that Mahatma Gandhi was very fiercely adherent of his ideology.
The old man was quite adamant. He was relentless in his pursuit for what he wanted. We might disagree with his views or his ways, but we need to accept that he just wouldn’t budge.
Which is why I always wondered: how did he manage to do that?
For normal people like you and me, it is very difficult to stand up for something. More often than not, we back out from what we wanted to say. We avoid confrontations, we prefer to wriggle out of an argument, we are impatient, imperfect people who just manage to live life as it comes.
We set out to do something in life, but struggle with the smallest of challenges! Sometimes, we get hurt by what others think of us, we seek approval in various ways, we find it hard to be motivated. All of this leads us into a simple dilemma - we speak a lot, and act little.
