Rapidly growing population not only increases pressure on marginal lands, over-exploitation of soils, overgrazing, over cutting of wood, soil erosion, silting, flooding but also increases excess use of pesticides, fertilizers, causing land degradation and water pollution (Khan, Inamullah & Shams, 2009).
