Primary Sector in India is Agriculture and allied activities, The sector requires scientific and mechanized farming and a new marketing strategy . The sector requires structural changes.
The Farm Bills are for structural changes
Since the Govt can not implement farm bills, the improvement of the sector is impossible. The only solution is now to expand the Industrial and Service sectors faster and reduce the share of the Primary Sector in GDP to a single digit. At present the share of agriculture in GDP is 18 %, reduce it to 5 % or less. Let the sector make its own efforts . The Taxpayer can not go no providing MSP and subsidies forever. If we can improve other sectors and export, we can import food grains rather than depending on the thankless farmers.
