The postman in the story "A Letter to God" was of a very humble and kind in nature. When he saw that a person had written a letter addressing to the God he read the letter and decided to help the innocent person. He very well knew that there is no address of God to which he will deliver Lencho's letter. Hence he decided to not let Lencho's emotions down and help him by contributing money. But after seeing Lencho second letter everyone including the postman felt very sad as he had complained to God about the people working the post office.

shwethsenthilkumar: yes the post master would have felt disappointed when lencho called the people who helped him a bunch of crooks and blames them for stealing the thirty pesos, but later the postmaster would also sigh seeing lencho' s firm faith on god and of god not making not making mistaks and also sigh about lencho s innocence.

Answer:

In the story, 'a letter', Lencho always believed in the almighty, irrespective of what others thought of him.

According to the context of the story, Lencho had sent a letter where he had asked for a little financial help.

He asked to give him one hundred pesos which did sound ridiculous to the postman.

But the postmaster arranged more than half the money by himself to keep Lencho's faith alive.
