Women of the third estate played a very crucial and important role in the French revolution. During revolutionary years, women started their own political clubs and newspapers. They set up about 60 women's clubs in different cities of France. The most famous among then was 'Society of Revolutionary and Republican women'. They also demanded to enjoy the same political rights as men. But that wish was only granted on the year 1946, when the women had got the right to vote.
