y=6x+5

6x-y=-5 -> eq.1

6x-y=7 ->eq. 2

on subtracting eq. 1 from eq. 2

6x-y=7

-6x-y=-5

(+) (+)

y is cancell

x = 12

on substituting x= 12 in eq. 1

6x-y=-5

6×12-y=-5

72-y=-5

-y=-5-72

-y= -78

- cancel

y= 78

Answer: x= 12

y =78
