How do you write y−10=−(x−2) in standard form?

Solution:

y - 10 = -(x-2)

=> (x-2)+y-10 = 0

=> x-2+y-10 = 0

=> x+y-12=0

Compare above equation with

ax+by+c=0 , we get

a = 1 , b = 1 , c = -12

Now ,

Standard form of given linear equation,

1x+1y+(-12)=0

Or

x + y -12 = 0
