If you go for High End Graphics Card and a low processor then definitely your gonna get a low fps, heating and Slow working of your computer or laptop.
But as the processor is the brain of the computer. A high end processor will help you to get a high frame rate and fast processing, regardless of what kind of graphics card you have.
RAM does also affect the sscenario. If you have at least 4 gb of RAM which is of 3200mhz then you are definitely gonna get faster working than a 8 gb RAM...
Speed matters a lot so just go for a high end processor and high speed RAM!
