Answer:

The action due to nervous tissue in animals is different from response to stimulus in these ways. In nervous tissues, action is carried out by the transmission of Electical impulses but in plants in takes place by changing the concentration of water.

In animals , response is given by nervous system where nerves take message from the body surface to brain and vice-versa. The impulse moves at very high speed i.e. in fractions of seconds.

On the other hand , in plants there is no nervous tissue . In them the response is given by plant hormones like auxins , gibberlins etc , which transfers message at very slow rate. Hence, response cannot be observed immediately.

Explanation:

Animals have nervous system that comprises of brain and nerves.

Plants have some phytohormones to give response to stimulus like bending of shoot in response to the direction of light.
