How does a biodegradable waste differ from a non-biodegradable waste? Give two examples of non-biodegradable wastes which pollute our environment.

Biodegradable waste are waste which can be decomposed when compressed in the soil.

  • It is organic and it has cells in them. When these waste are compressed in the soil, that area is fertile.
  • It helps in the growth of plants.
  • In this manner, the waste are also removed and it even helps the growth of plants
  • Examples: Banana peelsa and orange peels

Non biodegradable waste are waste cannot be decomposed when compressed into the soil.

  • It is inorganic and they are eaither made of chemicals or plastic.
  • It doesn't let the water to perculate underground
  • No changes are observed after 1000 years too!!
  • Examples: Polythene bags and plastic covers

The two example of non biodegradable waste was plastic and solar cell. solar cell also does not composed by any microbes, so it also non biodegradable waste.
