The adaptations that camels have taken to live in the desert are as follows – long eyelashes, the nostrils that can close, wide feet and the hump.

Explanation:

Camels have to survive in deserts and to survive there sustainably, camels have undergone adaptations in their bodies for generations.

  • They have wide feet so that they can walk comfortably in deserts.
  • They have long eyelashes that can protect their eyes from desert storms.
  • They have nostrils that close that help in keeping their noses closed to windblown sand.
  • They have a hump that helps them to store food and water and they can live without them for days.
