A farmer uses the dormancy of seeds for storage and utilisation in the next sowing season
A farmer can also participate in "seed exchange" programs where in she/he can barter his seeds with another farmer and thus increase the diversity of his storage.
These can be done when the seeds are in dormant stage

Farmer uses dormancy of seed for his advantage as the storage life of the seed can be stored for longer period of time and dormancy of the seed can be artificially broken by the farmer whenever season for growth of the crop arrives.
