How does a fuse wire protect the electric wiring or an appliance from being damaged?

It helps because it disconnects the connection of all appliances from electric connection and that's why the appliances doesn't gets damaged..

Fuse :-
It is an electrical device which protects the electrical appliances from getting damaged .
♦ It is made up of very thin wire , whose melting point is very much low and breaks easily when there is excess amount of flow of current through circuit .
Now , in case if there is very high amount of flow of current , then it breaks and cut off circuit making it impossible for current to pass and thua it saves other appliances .
As there will be no fuse then , the high amount of current will flow and that high amount of current may lead to damage that appliance .
