trade barriers in general sence are restrictions on trade imposed either by govt. or private bodies. govt. uses some of these barriers either to protect the domestic industries or increase exports. for this govt. can impose heavy tax duties on imports that will result in incresd price of these goods and thus their demand would decrese.
