The four stages of the life course are basically childhood, adolescence, adulthood, and old age. Socialization continues throughout all these stages. What happens during childhood may have lifelong consequences.

For example let us take grandfather as an example.. he was born and enjoyed his childhood till age 11 afterwards he got engaged in studies and all till 20, that's adolescence.. later on he got job, married, had kids when he was in adulthood..

Then got retired and had grandchildren when he is in old age.
