How does a nerve impulse travel across a neuron?

first the nerve impulses are taken through the dendrite of the neuron then it is absorbed by the cyton or the cell body then it travels through the axon in the form of electrical impulses amd at last it reaches to the nerve ending and then there are some chemicals called neurotransmitters which change this electrical impulses into chemical impulses and then through the synapse ( the gap between two neurons ) it transfers to another neuron and again changes to electrical impulses
