How does a nerve impulse travel through the body

Along a nerve cell, the impulse travels from the axon to the dendrites and then again to the axons through the synapse.

there is a functioning area between two neurons i.e. synapse.synapse transmit the impulse to axon
and the axons transmit the impulse throughout the body
