how does a plant with red violent or brown leaves synthesise their own food?

It not at all that plants without green leaves don’t have chlorophyll ... they too posses it and synthesise food with it ....
The different colour is due to the deposition of pigment Xanthophyll ....chlorophyll is present under it and food IS synthesised

HEY ANSWER IS.........!!

Leaves of green plants can only synthesize food Plants with red,brown and violet also ... be seen as the colours like red .brown and violet act as masks on the leaves.
