We know that DNA is the information source of providing information to a cell........a tiny segment of DNA which provide protein for a single gene is called gene for that protein........example.....we know that tallness of plant is due to plant hormone called auxin...if the gene making protein for efficient production of auxin works properly then the plant will be tall.......but of there is some defect in the gene dur to which it does not make sufficient amount of protein then plant will be tall......thus protein controls the characteristic feature.....
Is this the right answer???
