Digestion in Saprophytes:

  • Saprophytes are organism that follows their own form of nutrition in which they consumes dead and decaying organism as their food.
  • Saprophytes are generally fungi and bacteria which depend on other dead organisms for their nutrition.
  • Saprophytes secrete some digestive juices on the organisms which are dead and decayed and then convert them into solution and then it will be easy for their consumption.
  • They do not have any chlorophyll and they do not undergo any process like photosynthesis.
