How does a saprotrophs digest its food?

As matter decomposes into a medium in which saprotroph is residing. The saprotrophs breaks such matter into its composition.
For example protein is broke down into amino acid composites through the breaking of peptide bond.
Lipids are broken down into fatty acids and glycerol.
Starch is broken down to  into its simple disaccharides .
These products are reabsorbed   into the hypha through the cell wall via endocytosis and passed on throughout the mycelium complex  .
This facilitates  the  passage of such materials through out the organism and allow for growth and repair.
