How does a selenoid behave like a magnet? can we determine the north and south poles of current carrying selenoid with a help of a bar magnet ? explain?

Magnetic field lines are produced around the solenoidwhen a current is allowed to flow through it. The magneticfield produced by it is similar to the magnetic field of a barmagnet. ... Hence, one end of the solenoid behaves as a north pole and the other endbehaves as a south pole.
