There are three major factors that affect food security-
1) Availability
2) Affordability
3) Accessibility
This question refers to the 2) point, affordability. If the prices of basic food and necessities soar, how can a poor person buy those products? This section of the society will thus suffer from food insecurity. Therefore, social inability to buy food also plays a critical role in food insecurity.
