The friction caused by a fluid is known as drag force. In order to overcome this friction, animals are adapted with a streamlined shape. The shape is smaller in the sides while broader in the base. It is narrow in width. This shape enables the animals to be in the least contact with the fluid so that they can cut of its surface and move forward.

HOPE THIS COULD HELP!!!
