by the formula F=G*M/D*D.

where f=force, g=universal law of gravitation,m=mass of the planet, d=radius of the planet.

g=acceleration due to gravity

on the earth's surface,the valve of g varies from place to place.On equator,it is slightly less as compared to that at poles.Mean valve of g on the earth surface is 9.8m/s2.At altitudes above the earth's surface or at depth below the earth surface, the value of g decreases.The valve of g is zero at the centre of the earth.

Hope this helps!!!!!!
