HELLO BROTHER

SE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE DISSOLVE ACID AND BASES IN WATER

HCl(g) + H2O(l) → H3O+(aq) + Cl−(aq)

SO THE PRESENT OF HYDROXYL ION HELPS THE CURRENT TO FLOW IN WATER SO ADDITION OF ACID AND BASES CONDUCT ELECTRICITY

When acids or bases are in a solution ( in water) they disassociate to give H+ (or H3O+ , hydronium) or OH- ions.

They conduct electricity when in water, that is they release H+ or OH- ions which carry charges , hence conducting current.

HCL (aq) ⇒ Cl- + H+

NaOH (aq) ⇒ OH- + Na+
