when a person gets addicted to anything , they get way too attached to it than the amount they should be. This could even lead to self destruction and may hinder their development.

EX: when children get addicted to their tabs or any other electronic device, the refuse to do anything else. This would mean that they would'nt go out to play. In other words, their growth would be stunted and if anyone threatens to  throw the gadget away , they might cause self harm [ if they are too addicted that is ] . Nevertheless, it is quite harmful to get addicted to anything.
