The name itself makes a diffrence

  1. Aerobic respiration is an oxygen requiring process which leads to direct oxidation of Glucose.
  2. Anaerobic respiration is not an oxygen requiring process which leads to incomplete oxidation of glucose . For ex = it occurs when we do exrcisez.

Hope it would help

Aerobic Respiration

Aerobic respiration can only occur in the presence of oxygen. During aerobic respiration, the reactants oxygen and glucose are turned into the products carbon dioxide, water, and ATP.

Anaerobic Respiration

Anaerobic respiration occurs when oxygen is not present. It consists of two steps. The first step, like aerobic respiration, is glycolysis, that produces ATP from the reactant glucose. The second step, fermentation, creates lactic acid or ethanol, depending on the type of fermentation.

Hope this helps you..
