How does air gets cooled?

Explanation:

  • As the warm air that is the light rises and is overtaken by the cold air from below this occurs due to the condensation of the particles and as they become denser and settle down and get heavy the air that was light has increase in the moisture holding capacity and has average kinetic energy.
  • And occurs as the expansion of the gas and increase of the atmospheric pressure. Removal of the energy cools the air. Also, the release of the latent heat and the increase in the density of the moisture leads to a fall in the temperature and as we rise above the atmosphere gain the temperature drops and the air became thinner and dry.
