Amoeba takes in food using temporary finger-like extensions of the cell surface which fuse over the foodparticle forming a food-vacuole . Inside the foodvacuole, complex substances are broken down into simpler ones which then diffuse into the cytoplasm

Amoeba can constantly change its shape. It FORMS a finger like projections called pseudopodia. It surrounds around the food and forms a good vacuole. Inside the food vacuole the complex substances are broken into simpler ones which then diffuse into cytoplasm
