how does amoeba obtain its food

hey!
here is the process through which amoeba obtains it's food!!

amoeba obtains it's food by the process called phagocytosis
1. amoeba take in food using temporary finger like extensions of cell surface which fuse over the food particle forming a food vacuole.
2. inside the food vacuole , complex food is broken down into simpler ones which then diffuse in cytoplasm.
3. the remaining undigested material is moved out to the surface of the cell and thrown out.
