- Tathri was the woman who became the goddess of revenge. Like many other Nambudri women Tathri too was married to a man elder to him but luckily he was not so old.
- Tathri did everything to keep him happy. She served him a good comfortable life. But her husband consider her nothing more than a prostitute.
- One day he threw her out of the house and refused to live with her any longer. He also said her to go and work as a prostitute.
- Tathri returned back to his native place but she was not accepted there. Now she turned herself as a prostitute. The men in the locality started singing her praise.
- She gave them company but also she tells everyone that she is married and her husband is still alive.
- One day the man came and spent the night with her but when in the morning he realised that this is his early wife he just ran away screaming. All these incidents turned a woman into the goddess of revenge.
