Antonio sees Jacob's success as an example of God's providence and luck. Antonio also accuses Shylock of using a biblical story to justify the practice of money lending.

Antonio interprets Jacob's success as a blessing of Providence.

EXPLANATION:

In the play Merchant of Venice, Antonio acts as dead against Shylock the cunning money lender. He despised Shylock for his profession of usury. When Shylock alludes to the Biblical tale Of Jason winning the flock Antonio gives a completely different interpretation.

Unlike Shylock's success which is based totally on manipulation, greed and cunning news, Antonio attributes Jason's success to the blessings of Providence. It was because of the hand of God that Jason could acquire success. He did not cheat or exploit anyone like Shylock. His success was thus totally due to the heavenly intervention.
