How does Artificial Heart exactly works ?

The TAH replaces the lower chambers of the heart, called ventricles. Tubes connect the TAH to a power source that is outside the body. The TAH then pumps blood through the heart's major artery to the lungs and the rest of the body.

Heart is the most important organ in living beings. It carries the respiration and circulation.

Human heart is complex. It has four chambers. It is myogenic in nature. Hence humans carry double circulation.

Now if we talk about working of artificial heart, then it would need to be a very complex system ! Artificial pacemakers replace SA node and AV node. Artificial fibres instead of Purkinje fibres,etc. Hence these all systems will make a artificial heart work. And it is not that easy to function smoothly as human heart. But overall it's a case of possibility.
