Mechanism. Ascaris takes most of its nutrients from the partially digested host food in the intestine. There is some evidence that it can secrete anti-enzymes, presumably to protect itself from digestion by the hosts' enzymes.

Syncytial (multinucleated) epidermis on the body surface of ascaris forms cuticle ( a hard outer layer for protection) and also releases anti-enzymes (so digestive enzymes doesn't affect their body)
